WHO'S YOUR ONE(S)
I love that our church kicks off the year in prayer. There is no spiritual discipline more important than spending time daily in relationship with God. And, it’s even better when we do it together, when we are focused, when we are “in-tune” with one another … or as the Bible says, “in one accord”.
This year our theme is “ONE Matters”. It’s easy to get hung up on big numbers .. and big numbers are great .. but so are small numbers.
So is 1.
1 day can change history.
1 person can do something extraordinary.
1 word can encourage you.
1 idea can be revolutionary.
1 focus can lead to success.
1 church can impact the world for Jesus.
1 Christian can spark a revival.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at the number one and it’s potential impact in our lives.
Let’s all read and pray together for God to do something amazing at Peavine in 2020.

Daily prayer is important for the Christian. Prayer is our means of communication with the Holy and Divine God. Prayer is how we communicate and build a relationship with Him.
Yet, unfortunately, we often consider ourselves too busy to pray.
We let the demands of life rob us of the very thing that could help us navigate life.
I love what Martin Luther once said, “I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.” The busier we are the more important it is to set aside time to pray every day.
Let me ask you to do 3 things:
Pray every day. Every day, set aside a time and place and method and pray. You won’t regret it.
Pick up a Peavine wristband and join us as we use that to remind us to pray 15 minutes a day for Peavine City. Pray for cities, communities, schools, people … that God would empower us to reach them with the Gospel. 4,970 souls!
Pray for your pastors and staff daily. At the bottom of every page, you will see a picture of a pastor or director and their family. Pray for those daily and keep that habit going. We all need it. We all beg you for it!
Thank you for praying with us.
Let’s watch for and expect God to do great things!
