DAY  12

WHATEVER IT TAKES

SELECTED READING: Mark 2:1–11

Open your Bible and read the selection.

Just imagine Jesus in a house speaking. The house is so full that there was no way for these men to bring their friend to Jesus. They then find a way to get on the roof. The only way in is to dig through it. So the men start removing tiles and digging through the dirt. Imagine the commotion they caused as Jesus was speaking and the noise and dirt distracted the listeners. They break through and lower their friend down where Jesus heals him physically and spiritually.

What if we had that kind of determination to see our friends and family members come to know Christ and be saved? What if you had a “WHATEVER IT TAKES” attitude? If this were the case, you would probably do some things that required you to come out of your comfort zone. Instead of avoiding what you perceive as an awkward conversation, you

push through and share Jesus without fear. You may have to do “whatever it takes” and forgive a family member and reconcile a relationship in order to have that conversation. Could it be you might have to get in the car and drive a few hundred miles.

“COME OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20) When the Holy Spirit puts someone on your heart and is nudging you to do something about it. Do “whatever it takes” to share Jesus with them.
