Joel Southerland

Joel Southerland accepted the call as Lead Pastor on December 4, 2016. He serves in a dual role and is also the Executive Director of Evangelism for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Prior to his work at NAMB, he served as a Senior Pastor, Business Executive, and the Director of Evangelism and Communications/Media Strategy for the Georgia Baptist Convention. Joel has a Masters in Leadership from Liberty University. He is married to his beautiful childhood sweetheart, Sherry, and they have 2 daughters, Savana and Mikayla.

Daniel has been the Executive Pastor at Peavine since 2012. A native of Virginia, Daniel graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and has a background in Business Management and the Performing Arts. Prior to accepting the call into ministry, he worked in the real estate industry. Daniel and his wife, Tekla, have 3 children: Noah, Kohl, and Silas.

Denny has been the Worship Pastor at Peavine since 2007. He graduated from ECPI and had a successful career in Computer Programming and Management prior to accepting the call to full-time ministry. Denny and his wife, Susan, have 3 children, Leah, Justin, and Stacie, and 7 grandchildren.

Nathan served as Youth Pastor at Peavine for 7 years before moving to Nashville to assist with a church plant. God then called him back to Peavine and he is excited to be back where he considers home. Nathan is passionate about making an impact in the Northwest Georgia Region (and globally) through Student Ministry. He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Nathan and his wife, Chrissy, have 3 children: Gracey, Nathan, and Janey.

Jeremy has been at Peavine since 2008 and recently accepted the call as Connections Pastor. Prior to that, Jeremy served as the Kids Pastor. Before coming to Peavine, he served bi-vocationally for almost 20 years in Children's, Youth, and Educational Ministries both at Peavine and at churches throughout the Southeast. He also spent almost 10 years as an Executive in the Transportation Industry. Jeremy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Bryan College in Dayton, TN. Jeremy and his wife, Beth, have 6 children: Jaclyn, Brock, Brenton, Julibeth, Bryant, and Jenna.

Josh Garrison

Young Couple & College Pastor

Josh has served as the Young Couples and College Pastor at Peavine since the Summer of 2017. Josh received his degree in music from Truett McConnell University. In the last five years, he has served at several churches in the Atlanta and North Georgia area, through music, and youth ministry. Josh and his wife, Mikayla, have two sons, Jaxton and Judson.

Corbin is a Ringgold, GA native and has served at Peavine since 2015. Beginning as a Student Worship intern, he served in various roles at Peavine before accepting his calling as Campus Pastor. Corbin is passionate about seeing others connect to God through worship and loves serving at Peavine. Corbin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Dalton State College in Dalton, GA. Corbin is married to his childhood sweetheart, Alicia.
