Pastor Joel Southerland

Joel Southerland has been the Pastor at Peavine Church in NW Georgia since 2017. In that time they have baptized well over 1,000 people including a church record 349 baptisms in 2023. The church has tripled in size since 2017 and has made Outreach magazines Top 100 fastest growing churches in America twice (2017 and 2023). Before pastoring Peavine he served as the Executive Director of Evangelism for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Executive Director of Evangelism and Marketing for the Georgia Baptist Convention. 

He is married to his childhood sweetheart, Sherry (the love of his life), and has two daughters and six grandchildren.
